Mother of abandoned infant wanted

Mother dumps infant in CBD shortly after giving birth.

A mother allegedly was seen walking from a hospital with her new-born infant moments before dumping the baby.

The infant was found abandoned at the Mogale Square in the Krugersdorp CBD on 12 July at 5.10pm.

“It is alleged that the mother was walking from Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital carrying the child. The Department of Social Development has been placed the child at a shelter,” Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale, Krugersdorp Police spokesperson said.

Anyone with information about the mother should contact investigating officer Sergeant Au on 011 951 1729 or 061 723 8508.

Assist the police by exposing people involved in illegal activities and reporting it anonymously to Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or sms Crime Line 32211. Remember to mention who did what to whom, when, where, why and how.
