At the Burgershoop Community Hall, DA ward councillor Jakkie Naudé highlighted the social issues the people of Burgershoop and Appel Park face. He mentioned the weakened infrastructure that residents have to live with.

“The elderly in Premier, President and Jack Cotton apartments also are suffering,” he added.

The following morning, Naudé along with Seerane and the entourage went to Mug and Tree Communty Centre, a local non-profit organisation in Krugersdorp-West that supports the young and old in the needy community.

Various toys and blankets were given to the community at Mug and Tree where founder Trudie Naudé accepted all the gifts for the children.

Naudé told the News that the premier, along with the MEC for Welfare and the MEC for Education said they will provide help to the people in need.
