Taking entrepreneurship to the next level
Maragon's entrepreneurs donated a portion of their profits to charity.
The pupils of Maragon Primary recently blew away their teachers with their annual entrepreneurs day.
After weeks of planning and organising, the pupils’ businesses contributed to the very successful event that transformed the school into a mini market for the day.
From the crack of dawn, the entrepreneurs arrived to set up their stalls, all eager to seize the day.
Some great ideas included photo booths, golf cart rides, pillow fighting, mini-golf and a raffle to win a helicopter ride.
“As usual there was no shortage of eats and treats. There was no lack of creativity either. Lots of active youngsters left the market day on a sugar rush,” said Belinda Espag, Maragon’s marketing manager.
Every year the Grade 7s generously donate 10 per cent of their profits towards a charity.
This year the money will go towards the Guide Dog Association.
“Thank you to all our pupils, parents and supporters who contributed to the success of this event. A special thanks must be said to Janedy Saaiman who did an amazing job organising this event,” Belinda said.
