Housebreaking suspects stopped in their tracks

Quick response by security reaction unit and CPF saves the day and arrests two suspects.

Two housebreaking suspects got a surprise when a security company along with members of the local Community Policing Forum (CPF) stopped them in their tracks.

A Dowry Reaction Unit along with members of the Sector 8 CPF responded to a housebreaking call in Perel Street in Rangeview yesterday afternoon (13 October).

On arrival at the address the response officer and patrollers managed to capture and arrest two suspects who gained access to the house through a window.

The police’s Flying Squad was also deployed to the scene for back up and later later apprehended the suspects who were taken to the Krugersdorp Police station.

The suspects spent some time in the house managed to gather a portable DVD player, cameras, alcohol, foreign money and other household goods before they were arrested.
