Stuck puppy has been rescued
Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief as the puppy has been rescued.
The News just received word that the puppy which was stuck in a water ditch behind Jan de Klerk High School has just been rescued.
The puppy is on its way, with the help of Charmaine Booysens from the 9th Day Animal Shelter, to a local vet.
More details on the puppy and its condition will be published as soon as it becomes available.

The puppy which has been stuck in a water ditch behind Jan de Klerk High School for a few days now, is still alive.

The dog, which is believed to be a German Shepard cross breed aged between eight to ten weeks, was reported stuck in a water ditch on 13 October.
Patrollers from the Sector 5 and 3 Community Policing Forum went to the ditch last night around 11pm after the storm to check up on the pup.
According to Deon Steyn, the pup was still hiding in the ditch and was in a stable condition.
A group of volunteers have already met at the ditch this morning to continue in their rescue attempt.
