Couple wanted for vehicle theft

A Krugersdorp couple is wanted following the theft of a rental vehicle.

An alert was posted on Facebook about a Krugersdorp couple that allegedly had stolen a vehicle on 8 October.

The couple who is believed to be using drugs have disappeared without a trace after allegedly stealing a red Hyundai vehicle with registration number DL55LT GP from a property in Krugersdorp. The Hyundai belongs to the rental company Avis.

“We are asking the community of Krugersdorp that if they have seen the couple in the photo, Nanette van Rooyen and Peet de Wet, to come forward with more information,” said Tommy Bekker.

Besides using drugs the woman allegedly is on bail for another crime.

A case of car theft – case number 168/10/2015 – was opened at the Krugersdorp Police Station.

A reward is offered for the recovery of the vehicle.
