Identity of beauty treatment fraudster known to owner
More information surfaced about the client who drove off without paying for a treatment.
More accusations have come to light about a woman who fails to pay for beauty treatments.
Elsabè van Zijl, owner of Amore la Vie situated in Voortrekker Road, met with the News to discuss more information about the client who drove off on 16 October without paying for a R360 treatment.
A week later the woman went to another salon, Professional Hair and Nails for a similar treatment and suddenly got in her vehicle and drove off without paying.
Her excuse was that she had to pick up her son from school.
Following the first article, which was published on 15 October, the woman made contact with the owner and vowed to pay the money on 20 October.
Elsabè gave the woman chance until 5pm that afternoon before proceeding to open a case of theft and fraud at the police station.
With many excuses, the cheque paid into Elsabè’s account bounced.
After connecting the dots, Elsabe also found photos of the woman spread across social media by the owner of a coffee shop in Krugersdorp North.
The woman allegedly hosted a function at this particular coffee shop earlier this year without paying for it.
“I would like to warn other businesses in the area to be on the lookout when dealing with this woman. It saddens me that as a business owner you work yourself to the bone and a client walks in and takes you for a ride,” Elsabè said.
