Bradley Padoa, a business owner contacted the News after reading the initial article about the robbery and said he experienced exactly the same thing.
Padoa told the News that two gate motors were also stolen from his business around a month ago.
His offices are situated on the corner of Cecil Knight and Bodenstein Streets where Padoa had to replace his gate motor after it was stolen twice in one week.
The motors were valued at around R6 500 each.
After the motor was stolen a second time, the offices of another business on the same premises was broken into not long after.
It is believed the suspect involved in the break-in managed to gain entry to the office through the roof.
Although the break-in could not be positively linked to the gate motor theft, Padoa is certain it is the same group of alleged drug addicts that were caught on CCTV camera at Laerskool Krugersdorp-Noord that stole his gate motors.
According to numerous comments on the News’ Facebook page, the culprit seen on the footage is from Randfontein and has been arrested.
The school assured the News a second time that a case was opened at the police and that the suspect in currently in the Krugersdorp cells awaiting his court appearance.
The school also stipulates that the rumours about the grandparents of the suspect paying off the school to withdraw the case are untrue.
