Surprise celebrity engagement at the movies

Maurice spent months planning an incredibly romantic and unique engagement.

Leading Afrikaans artist, Anaïs, received a spectacular surprise marriage proposal at Silverstar last week.

On the evening of 24 November, Silverstar played host to what could be considered the proposal of the year, as Maurice Lois planned a very special surprise to ask Anaïs to be his wife.

Anaïs, one of SA’s leading artists, founder and presenter of Be Your Dream on KykNET, and SA ambassador for LifeLine, thought she was at Silverstar to watch a movie with Maurice and some of their friends.

Meanwhile, Maurice had spent months planning an incredibly romantic and unique engagement.

“The couple and their friends entered the Movies@ Silverstar Cinema and started watching the movie trailers.

“Halfway through, Maurice excused himself, while Anaïs continued to watch the screen. A music video began to play – one that he specifically composed for her with her band. While she was trying to figure out what was happening, their family and friends walked in, singing along,” Tumi Shumba from Eclipse Public Relations said a press statement.

Maurice was the last person to walk in, now wearing a stylish outfit that he had change into to suit the occasion.

They couple were ecstatic and both shed tears of joy when Anaïs said yes to spending the rest of her life with Maurice.

“Once the couple had reveled in the moment and composed themselves, Anaïs changed into a beautiful, sophisticated dress before the couple, along with their friends and family, moved to Publicity Bar and Grill to celebrate,” Tumi concluded.
