Mogale explains unanswered calls
Holding the line seems to be the norm.
“They never answer the phone, they are never available!”
These are the cries of many Mogale City Local Municipality residents when they try to contact the municipality.
“I phone everyday for days on end and I even went and stood in a queue for five hours, yet no one seems to be able to help me,” a local who contacted the News for an alternative number, said.
The municipality has taken note of the influx of call volumes recently and commented on the matter on their website www.mogalecity.gov.za.
“Our call centre is currently experiencing unusually high call volumes; customers may experience greater hold time than usual and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. To avoid long hold times, requests for statements can be emailed to customerservices@mogalecity.gov.za,” the statement read.
“We thank you for your patience,” it concluded.
