Police want to know if you are going away
The police is urging you to take extra care by letting them know where you are going on holiday.
Magaliesburg police is urging the community to let them know when they go on holiday.
“We want to keep the properties in the area safe while people are on holiday,” police spokesperson, Constable Rebecca Phithi, said in a statement.
There is a register at the police station known as the SAPS 2. It can be filled in by community members who will be away from home over the holidays.
“In this register you give the police your contact details as well as your home address,” she said.
The police will then monitor your home and “if something wrong happens at your property, the police could be able to inform you timeously”.
“We urge residents to utilise our services,” Phithi added.
