The local municipality is challenging local businesses to offer students financial tertiary education support.

Did you know that schools in the West Rand District are among the top three matriculation result districts in Gauteng?

The Mayor of Mogale City Local Municipality, Calvin Koketso Seerane, congratulated the educators and pupils for being part of the second best district in Gauteng.

“The City of Human Origin is very proud of the extra effort pupils put in their individual capacity and in concert with their educators and parents, to ensure that they conclude their basic education on a high, unforgettable and respectable note,” he said.

“We are proud that the students also ensured that our region remains in the top three districts in Gauteng in terms of performance.”

Mogale City will provide different bursaries to deserving students “who intend to further their education at public tertiary institutions.”

“We offer R10 000 for degree studies, R5 000 for national diplomas and R3 000 for FET certificates. We hope that businesses and other players can match or surpass these offers so we can help our children to create a brighter future for themselves.”
