Expect a wet week ahead

The South African Weather Service has warned of heavy rainfall in Gauteng.

The hot days are over, or at least for now.

Krugersdorpers can expect cooler conditions brought on by rainfall of up to 80 percent this week. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said although temperatures in Gauteng were expected to peak in the mid-30s on Monday, rainy and cloudy conditions would prevail for the rest of the week.

Until Saturday there is between a 60 and 80 per cent chance of rain every day.

Today an 80 percent chance of rainfall and a maximum temperature of 23°C is expected. SAWS has also warned of heavy rainfall in Krugersdorp today between 1pm and 11pm.

Tomorrow the rainfall percentage is expected to drop to 60 percent with a 25°C temperature maximum. Up to next week Tuesday, there will still be a 30 percent chance of rainfall and 28°C temperatures maximum.

No hail has been predicted by SAWS, but be weary of floods.
