News flash: man dies in factory accident

The Krugersdorp police are investigating the unnatural death of a worker at a local factory.

A man has lost his life at a local factory in a tragic work accident earlier this morning.

The Krugersdorp police were called out to a factory in Pulley Street in Boltonia at around 9am after a worker died an unnatural death.

It is believed the man and his colleague were working on one of the factory’s machines, a stacker, when it fell on top of him, leaving him fatally wounded.

On arrival at the factory police found the body of the 57-year-old man.

“The stacker allegedly fell on him when a colleague accidentally bumped it with a forklift. The deceased died on the scene and the body was transported to local mortuary,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.

An inquest case has been opened and the matter will be investigated.
