Lorna heats up the Cradle

Lorna Maseko led excited friends and guests to cook her recipe at the Cooking with Lorna and Friends event on Saturday.

As the Easter weekend approaches, Top Billing presenter and foodie Lorna Maseko hosted a Family Affair event while cooking and entertaining guests at Maropeng this past Saturday, 12 March.

Aspiring and self-proclaimed chefs all tried their hand at the Top Billing presenter and foodie’s recipe: stuffed chicken roulade with a honey-lime sauce, pomegranates and shimeji mushrooms.

The prepared dishes were made in aid of, and for, charity.

Cooking with Lorna and Friends was an event that welcomed the entire family and even had children preparing their own burgers. After all the cooking and wine tasting, guests took a tour through the official visitor centre for the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.

“What an unbelievable day it has been out here in the beautiful Cradle of Humankind. This event is continuing to get bigger and better each time. I loved that the whole family got involved this time. Adults and children alike had the best time and that makes my heart so happy. A special thank you to Gauteng Tourism and Woolworths for helping to make today an amazing memory. Watch this space for the next one,” Lorna said.

Lorna hosts Cooking With Lorna and Friends regularly which takes place at different locations throughout South Africa. The proceeds after each event goes towards charity.
