The Gauteng Police Road Cycling team is ready and set to participate in the upcoming national championships.
With their brand new shirts, sponsored by Provision ISR in Roodepoort, the team will represent the province at the upcoming South African Police Services National Road Cycling championship.
The shirts were recently (1 July) handed over to the officers by the Gauteng Provincial Sports Office and the sponsors.
The team of 21 officers has been practising together on a regular basis, and has participated in other races, including the Cape Argus Cycle Tour and the 94.7 Cycle Challenge.

The championships will be hosted from 10 to 15 July in Kimberley, and police officers from all over the country will go head to head on their bicycles for the ultimate prize of being the national winners.
“We are extremely excited and know there will be stiff competition. We are hoping to bring the trophy back home,” said Captain Paula Terblanche from the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual offences Unit.
The team will leave for Kimberley soon.
