Hijacked vehicle found a day later

Two men were arrested after they were caught driving in a stolen car in Eldorado Park.

The men were arrested on Thursday, 4 August after they had hijacked the car at Reservoir Ridge in Kagiso the previous day.

They allegedly ordered a man out of his car while he was with his girlfriend. The woman escaped and screamed for help while her boyfriend was struggling with the alleged hijackers. A shot went off during the struggle, leaving the complainant wounded. The suspects fled in his car and he was rushed to hospital.

A case docket of a hijacked motor vehicle was opened and the suspects will be kept in custody pending police investigations. A third suspect is still at large.
