Man followed to work then robbed
The suspects tied up the victims and robbed them of their valuables.
Police are on the lookout for four suspects after a man was hijacked and robbed earlier this week.
A 39-year-old man was travelling to work on 8 August when a grey Mazda 7 stopped dead in front of him.
It is alleged that four unknown males with firearms confronted him and instructed him to drive to his workplace.
“The men then entered the premises and held up the staff, tying their hands in the process. They then ransacked the premises,” said Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale.
The perpetrators then fled in the worker’s vehicle, taking with them a television set and jewellery. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in Munsieville.
Fortunately no shots were fired, and no-one was seriously injured during the incident.
The police are appealing to the community to assist them with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
