A fun day for fundraising

The children at Mug and Tree were spoilt by a local law firm.

On 30 July, Nakani Watts Incorporated Attorneys hosted a fun day for the children at the Mug and Tree Soup Kitchen.

It was an eventful day for the children, who were treated to a jumping castle, sweets, treats and boerewors rolls.

The firm is currently assisting Mug and Tree to raise the R400 000 needed to purchase the property they are using as a soup kitchen, as well as the property behind their care centre.

If all goes well, they will convert the second property into a safe haven where children can stay overnight if they feel threatened.
