Guns found in teacher’s flat

The local teacher can expect more charges to be added to her name after ammunition was found in her flat.

Five handguns, a shotgun and an assault rifle were recovered in a search operation by members of the West Rand Police Cluster today.

“The team responsible for the investigation into the Krugersdorp #TripleMurder case, facilitated by the Gauteng Provincial War Room, is unearthing new information,” West Rand Cluster Police spokesperson, Captain Appel Ernst said.

A thorough search at the residence of the local teacher who was arrested in connection with multiple crimes, was conducted earlier today.

The News previously reported about a large amount of ammunition which was found hidden in the teacher’s storeroom on 9 August.

Members of the War Room, Randfontein and Krugersdorp Detectives unit along with the Trio Task Team expressed their satisfaction with the discovery of the weapons.

“Your dedication and commitment in these investigations have paid off,” Brigadier Manie Victor, Commander of the Provincial War Room said.
