Today  is national Spumoni Day, and how does one celebrate Spumoni Day?

By having some Spumoni ice cream!

Spumoni is an Italian dessert made up of layers of ice cream, fruit and nuts.

Some versions include whipped cream. This delicious dessert was brought to America by immigrants in 1870.

Many consider this ice cream to be a Christmas treat, but it is still enjoyed globally as an everyday treat.
