Tea, treats and charity

Empowering women met at a Women's Day breakfast.

A group of Krugersdorp women from all walks of life met up for some inspiration while celebrating a special day – all for charity. The Women’s Day Breakfast was hosted at the beautiful setting of Urban Herbs.

It kicked off with a meet and greet while everyone got their morning dose of caffeine. Scripture reading and prayer set the tone of the morning as the women were reminded of their roles as mothers and nurtures in the community. Driekie Havenga stole the spotlight with a very inspiring talk about the difference women can make – not only in the community but also in each other’s lives.

“Never underestimate the power of an act of kindness,” was one of the many famous quotes she read to the women.

Yvette Nel from LCN Looking Good One called one of the lucky guests to the stage and showed how a transformation is possible by merely applying make-up. After the session the women’s appetites were stimulated by the aroma of freshly baked quiche.

They then made their way to the different stalls where beautiful and delicious product were on sale. Before leaving the venue all the women donated a survival handbag stocked with necessities to be given to the local women’s home, The Cradle of Hope.
