Three sought and one arrested for house robbery
Three perpetrators are still on the run following a house robbery at about midnight.
It was a blue Monday for a suspect who was arrested after a house-breaking incident that took place at about midnight.
Four male suspects allegedly robbed the owners of Plot 218, Vlakplaats of their belonging at about midnight on 22 August.
“It is believed the complainant was in his quarters when someone suddenly kicked his door open,” said Tarlton Police’s spokesperson, Constable Lucky Matome.
Four suspects, all armed with sharp objects, entered the premises and demanded money and cellphones.
The complainant allegedly screamed for help, and his neighbours came to his rescue.
Three of the suspects managed to flee the scene, leaving their 26-year-old accomplice behind.
During the scuffle, the 26-year-old suspect sustained injuries to his upper body. He was taken to the nearest hospital for medical attention.
The Tarlton Police are looking for the three other suspects. Their station commander, Lieutenant Colonel CP Tsoaedi welcomed the arrest, but condemned any act of violence. He further pleaded with the community not to take the law into their own hands.
