Boy allegedly murdered by mother’s boyfriend
"No one deserves to die in this way."
A 10-year-old boy’s badly mutilated body was found by Kagiso Police in an open area near Silverstar this morning (26 August).
Kagiso detectives made this gruesome discovery when following up on a claim they received from his mother that her son had been killed on Saturday, 20 August allegedly by her boyfriend. The information was given to police on Wednesday, 24 August and police launched tireless investigations into the allegations, questioning family members of the boy.
During such a questioning, the mother allegedly told police that her boyfriend, 38, had killed her son and allegedly threatened to hurt her and her other children if they didn’t keep quiet.
Kagiso Police arrested the boyfriend at 2pm on Thursday, 25 August. The mother is also in police custody for further investigation.
“Kagiso Police will not rest on their laurels in collecting all necessary evidence in this case,” Brigadier Sipho Ngubane, station commander said.
“No one deserves to die in this way.”
