Man seriously injured after being hit by car

The driver of the vehicle that knocked him down was not injured

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after he was knocked down by a vehicle near the N14 exit from the R512, near Lanseria on Sunday, 4 September.

ER24 paramedics found the 25-year-old man lying next to the road shortly before 7pm.

He was allegedly in a critical condition and the paramedics placed him on life support at the scene. He was then rushed to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg, where he received further medical care.

The man apparently sustained lower limb fractures and serious head injuries. The driver of the vehicle that knocked him down was not injured.

The Muldersdrift Police allegedly attended the scene.
