Meet your new MMCs
Following this year's local election, here is the list of the new Members of the Mayoral Committee.
On 18 August, Councillor Lynn Pannall was elected as the new Executive Mayor of Mogale City, which caused quite a stir for all the right reasons – one of them being change.
However, she cannot govern Mogale City alone, and so new Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMCs) have been elected to assist her during her term.
At the West Rand Chamber of Business and Tourism Business Achiever Awards event, the Mayor introduce the new MMCs to business owners:
• Corporate Services: Councillor Jacqui Pannall
• Human Settlements and Rural Development: Councillor Bongani Nkosi
• Infrastructure: Councillor Jacques Hoon
• Economic Services: Councillor Chris van der Westhuisen
• Finance: Councillor Jaco Holtzhausen
• Environment: Councillor Annette Fourie
• Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation: Councillor Themba Mokoena
• Social Development: Councillor Margaret Mohube
• Infrastructure (Engineering Services): Councillor Ernest Modise
• Public Safety: Councillor Tjaart Steenkamp
