Be careful of werewolves tonight

There will be a full moon tonight.

Take a blanket outside this evening and look at the sky, because there will be a full moon at 6.23pm.

A full moon is the phase of the moon in which its whole disc is illuminated. According to www.space.com it is only when the moon, earth and sun are perfectly aligned that the moon is 100 per cent full, and that alignment produces a lunar eclipse.

Five things you didn’t know about the moon from fullmoonphase.com:

– The moon is currently 12,8 days old

– It is 369 679,26 km from the earth

– The next full moon is today

– The next new moon will be on 30 October 2016

– 95,6 per cent of the moon will be illuminated

Whether you give werewolves a shout-out, lie under the sky and appreciate the beauty, or celebrate the full moon by painting the town red, be careful that you don’t transform into a werewolf.
