Two dead and five critical in horror crash
One of the deceased had to be extricated from his vehicle while the other deceased was flung out of his vehicle.
Two people were declared dead and several others were left with moderate to critical injuries after four vehicles collided on the N14 near Brandvlei on Sunday, 23 October at about 4.30pm.
Numerous emergency medical personnel were on the scene and worked as a team to assist the patients.

Five of the patients sustained critical injuries and were stabilised on the scene before they were transported by ambulance to different hospitals.

One patient was airlifted by Netcare 911 helicopter to a hospital in Johannesburg. The rest of the injured sustained moderate injuries. Eleven patients were treated in total.
“The exact detail of the cause of the accident and how many vehicles were involved remains a subject for police investigation and comment,” said Athlenda Mathe, the Netcare 911 spokesperson.
