Sons rob mother’s house
This mother caught her sons in the act of stealing from her.
A mother will be visiting her two sons in jail after they robbed her house in Kagiso.
The woman went to bed one night with her sons in their room. She woke up to a strange noise outside her house at about 6.30am and when she went to investigate, she saw her own sons fleeing out of her yard in possession of her stainless steel pots. Upon further investigation, she noticed that her iron, a bag, a DVD player and a cellphone were also stolen. She yelled to her sons but they did not stop running.
After evading police for a month, the two, aged 18 and 24 respectively, were arrested on Thursday, 10 November in Tshepisong after their mother opened a case of housebreaking and theft against them. They are expected to appear briefly in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court soon.
“They could not run or hide from the long arm of the law.
If the suspects are found to have really abused their mother, it would be a shame and disgrace to them and as police we won’t accept that,” said Colonel Netshitangani, the acting station commander at the Kagiso Police station.
