Krugersdorp Rotary Anns donate appliances and bedding to disability centre

Essential household items and fresh linen will bring everyday relief to 55 residents living with special needs.

The Krugersdorp Rotary Anns took another charitable mission on October 23 to The Light Centre for Children with Disabilities in Tarlton to show their support for the organisation and the work it does in caring for children with special needs.

The centre caters for intellectually disabled children, particularly those with cerebral palsy, and currently provides a home for 55 children. A dedicated team of staff members ensures that each child receives personalised, professional care in a safe and nurturing environment.

Essential supplies for daily care

According to Rotary Anns secretary Julia du Plessis, the Anns donated two tumble dryers, a 20-litre urn, blankets, sheets, protective sheets and pillows.

“These practical and much-needed items will assist the centre in its daily operations and help provide greater comfort for the children,” Julia said.
