Man arrested for murdering his wife
A man from Fochville on the run for the murder of his wife has been apprehended in Hekpoort.
A 30-year-old man was arrested for murder on Wednesday, 30 November in Hekpoort.
The man was engaged in a domestic dispute with his wife at their Fochville home in October 2016 and it is alleged that he murdered his wife during that dispute. He then fled to Hekpoort, where he lived with his uncle.
Hekpoort Police members received information that the suspect was on the run and Fochville Police confirmed the information. Police responded swiftly and the man was arrested and transferred to the Fochville Police Station.
The case remains under investigation.
