Toddler knocked down and killed by neighbour

Police opened a case of culpable homicide against the neighbour.

A two-year-old toddler died in Kagiso, after he was bumped by a passing car on Friday, 3 March at about 7pm.

Kagiso Police received a complaint of an accident that night and proceeded to the scene. Upon arrival they found the child’s parents and members of their family.

The child had already been taken to hospital. Police decided to go to the hospital he’d been taken to, and discovered that he was already dead when he was brought in. The child had sustained severe head and neck injuries.

It was later discovered that the person who bumped the child was their next-door neighbour.

Details of the incident are not yet known, but the Kagiso Police have opened a case of culpable homicide.
