Man driving flying bakkie arrested

The suspect was rescued and arrested for reckless and negligent driving.

Krugersdorp Police arrested a 23-year-old male in the early hours of Wednesday, 15 March after he ramped and crashed his vehicle into the roof of a carport.

It is alleged that Krugersdorp Police noticed a vehicle speeding and skipping a red traffic light. They followed the vehicle and to their surprise the driver lost control and landed on top of the carport at the intersection of Commissioner Street and Rustenburg Road.

The suspect was rescued and arrested for reckless and negligent driving.

He will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
