Woman suffers moderate injuries during crash

A 66-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries on Monday afternoon (21 March) just before 2pm.

Reports indicate that her car veered off the R563 in Hekpoort. Paramedics from ER24 arrived shortly after the accident had occurred and found a vehicle in a field next to the road. The woman was still trapped inside. ER24 Rescue Paramedics and the local fire department used hydraulic rescue equipment to free her from the vehicle.

Once freed she was treated on the scene and transported to a nearby hospital by another ambulance service.
