Watch out America, Kariska is on her way!
Kariska and her team will be hosting a gala dinner to showcase her talents and to raise funds for her journey to America.
From local superstar to international talent, this young actress and model is heading to America.
Kariska Kotze, 14, knew from a young age that she was different. While all the other girls would go play she would wonder how it was that the people on television were so much like her.
As Kariska got older she was bullied repeatedly and as an outlet she would watch movies and find herself in them. When she got to a certain age, she started competing in competitions, mostly in the drama category and always obtained the highest ranking. Many people told her she had a gift and many drama coaches offered and asked her to join their business, but she could never connect with them.
Kariska learned the deeper sense of acting, the emotion hiding behind a smile, on her own, and through that landed her first lead role in her school play. She then auditioned for the Just You Model and Artist Management and the Summer Heat Talent Showcase.
Kariska got into both, but decided to follow the path of International Arts Talent Showcase after she was scouted by an international talent scout, Kim Myers, to attend the Applause Rising Talent Showcase (Arts) in Orlando, Florida later this year.

The Arts is a well-respected event that offers exposure to top industry professionals, agents, castings, managers, producers and the industry’s most influential authors and coaches. Contestants will compete for various prizes, trophies, scholarships and a wide variety of casting opportunities.
Together with other artists from all over South Africa, Kariska started her journey to the Arts with Elsubie Verlinden, the Director of Just You Artist and Model Management, and her team. She attended two boot camps in preparation for the Arts. During boot camp, these aspiring artists were trained and modelled by industry professionals to learn and improve their craft. Kariska made the cut.
Even before this journey, she started doing modelling with Oxygen Models and was also scouted for her outstanding modelling ability. She also signed a contract with Just You as her agent and is working side by side with them to build her a platform in South Africa. Kariska is still training with Oxygen Models as well and does regular fashion shows for them.
Kariska and her team will be hosting a gala dinner to showcase her talents and to raise funds for her journey to America where international chefs and companies will attend and act as sponsors.
“Anything is possible if you have the determination and the drive to work hard and believe in yourself,” said Kariska.
One can certainly say she is quickly climbing her way up the ladder. She is a young entrepreneur who believes that age is only a number.
