What’s happening this weekend: a comprehensive to-do list

This weekend Krugersdorp is spoilt for choice with three events to choose from.

There are three main events taking place this weekend aimed at informing and entertaining the community of Krugersdorp.

The first event takes place tonight at Die Boomhuis just off Viljoen Street, Krugersdorp North. Paint Nite is a unique outdoor event to relax and bond with a loved one while exercising your creativity together through paint brushes.

This encounter will be guided by a local artist for two hours at the bar. You do not have to be an art specialist to participate in this, you just need to be inspired and express your feelings on your canvas. Tickets are R330 per person which includes your drinks and food.

The second stop will be Men on the Hunt Seminar, tomorrow at 7am at Shekinah Glory Worship Centre Conference Venue, in Matola Street, Munsieville. The organiser of this seminar, Pastor Michael Gwebu’s idea was triggered by the recent femicide in province. Men on the Hunt invites all men who are hunters and bachelors between 20 and 35 years old on dating and marriage according to the Word of God. Tickets are R80 each and are available at the gate of the venue.

“Come and learn how to treat the woman in your life the right way and effectively,” said Pastor Gwebu.

On Sunday, 30 July, the Winter Warm-up Festival held at Eldoret Farm coffee shop, 53 Van Riebeeck Road, Protea Ridge at 11am is a charity event with a twist. Attendees will enjoy live performances by artists such as Gert Koevert, Bibi, Dewalt Dippenaar, Heuning and more.

Entry fee is R30 and everyone is encouraged to bring a blanket which will be donated to various charity houses in Krugersdorp. A cash bar and food vendors will be available and people are asked not to bring alcohol bought outside the venue.

Organiser Daniëlle and Chanté van Niekerk said come experience live entertainment with top artists under the open sky. For ticket sales, call 082 842 5216.
