[BREAKING] Woman critically injured in Voortrekker Road crash
The patient was treated by Help24 paramedics and reportedly sustained injuries to her chest, pelvis and wrist.
A woman was critically injured after a delivery van and another vehicle crashed at the intersection of Shannon and Voortrekker Roads near Burger Box at about 2.30pm today, 20 September.

Paramedics administered morphine to help her cope with her pain. She was transported to hospital where she is receiving urgent medical attention.

Netcare 911 and ER24 paramedics assisted two other people who escaped with slight injuries.
The section of Voortrekker Road where the collision occurred was closed off to traffic, causing delays in both the directions.
Eyewitnesses said one of the drivers involved skipped the red traffic light at the intersection and collided with the other.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the incident.
