[JUST IN] Bakkie rolls in Lanseria leaving four injured

One patient was airlifted because he was critical injured.

Four people were injured this morning, 20 September when the bakkie they were travelling in rolled on the R512 in Lanseria, north of Johannesburg.

Upon arrival, ER24 paramedics discovered four patients on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that three had sustained moderate injuries. The fourth patient was found to be in a critical condition.

The patients were treated and the critically injured provided with advanced life support interventions.

The critically injured patient was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a nearby hospital while the remaining patients were transported by ambulance.

Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of this incident.
