AACL on the hunt for the most ‘pawesome’ poster
Are you a primary scholar who loves animals and drawing? AACL is looking for you!
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is calling on all Gauteng primary school learners to enter their Annual Poster Challenge 2017.
By participating, learners between Grades 1 and 7 can demonstrate their support for the welfare of animals and one winner in each of the three categories stands a chance to walk away with Annual Poster Challenge title, plus R2 000.
To enter, you need to be a Grade 1 to 7 learner, and draw or paint a picture depicting ways in which people show compassion and kindness towards animals, care for, and affect their lives in positive ways. Your picture must portray a message. Remember a slogan or title for your picture to make it stand out and make it memorable.
Entrants are welcome to use any medium such as paint, pastels, ink and crayon on either A2 or A3 paper. AACL encourages entrants to let their imagination and creativity run free and keep their posters bold, striking, authentic and have fun while making them.
Here are the categories in which the posters will be judged:
• Category 1: Grades 1 and 2
• Category 2: Grades 3 to 5
• Category 3: Grades 6 and 7
There are no limits to the number of entries by a single participant, so learners can enter as many times as they like and are welcome to send a donation with their entries. All donations will be used by the AACL in their work of protecting and caring for animals.
For banking details, contact AACL on 011 435 0672. Take note that closing date is 31 October 2017, so get your paint, crayons, paper and pens ready to complete your project before the deadline.
The following must be printed clearly on each poster:
• Your name, surname and age
• Entry category, either 1, 2 or 3 and grade of the learner
• Name of the school and e-mail address
• Telephone number of the learner or of the school
Posters should be delivered or sent to:
