In a meeting on the plot on Wednesday, 13 September, Lipudi addressed concerned community members and said that although the rumours about the relocation of illegal squatters from the Mtombo Informal Settlement to Plot 11 were true, this was only a plan and nothing would be done without the input of the community.
He rescheduled that meeting to Tuesday, 26 September, because he felt that he needed time to gather more information.
