Their war is coming to our world… The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim (Matthew McConaughey), also known as the Man in Black, determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black. Most of the scenes from The Dark Tower were filmed right here in South Africa, with the supporting cast also featuring a host of well-known local actors (including Robert Whitehead and Leeanda Reddy). It is a suspenseful thriller filled with spectacular special effects, and is a must-see for Stephen King fans looking for a good dose of apocalyptic action-adventure.
