Horrific wreckage deathbed for driver
His passenger sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
At approximately 10.30pm on Thursday evening, 28 September, Netcare 911 and Help24 responded to reports about a very serious collision on Voortrekker Road near the intersection with Kloof Street in Krugersdorp.
Reports from the scene suggest the driver of a bakkie lost control after colliding with another vehicle. The incident and preceding events will form part of a police investigation.

Paramedics from Netcare 911 and Help24 attended to the patients at the scene. One man was in a critical condition and was attended to and placed on a ventilator at the scene and then transported to hospital.

The second occupant of the bakkie was also a male who tragically sustained severe injuries and died on scene. Documentation pertaining to his death was completed by Netcare 911 and handed over to authorities at the scene. Both men were believed to be approximately 30 to 40 years old.
The driver of the other vehicle was fortunate to escape without injury.
This incident was also attended to by the Fire Department and Traffic Police.
