This is what happened at the Coronation and Luipaard Street intersection

The collision caused one of the minibuses to land on its side, subsequently blocking one of the lanes towards Coronation Street.

On Friday morning at about 11.45am, two minibuses were involved in a collision at the Luipaard and Coronation Street intersection near Alma Mater International School.

ER24, the CPF and Emergency Services were on scene. According to authorities from Gauteng Emergency Medical, 16 occupants were taken to various hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the collision remains unknown, but local authorities were on scene to investigate the matter.
