Free community health expo

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is launching a free Medical Expo.

To be and stay healthy is becoming a great concern to all, especially since the most common causes of death in industrialised countries are cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

The impact of these diseases is increasing in developing countries where cases of HIV and Aids along with depression and anxiety are of great concern.

These diseases and medical problems have a direct effect on the community’s quality of life and affect interpersonal relationships.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is launching a free Medical Expo on Sunday, 8 October from 10am to 2pm at Cedar Country Lodge.

The entire community is invited and entrance to the lodge is also free.

Health professionals, medical staff, a medical doctor and volunteers will be hosting this event. Eight main factors related to disease prevention and emotional and spiritual life will be promoted, namely: nutrition, exercise, water, sun, temperance, air, rest and trust in divine power.

The health professionals and volunteers will be available to perform various free medical tests.
