Identity and funeral of deceased biker revealed – he leaves three kids behind

Blaauw's funeral will take place on Friday, 13 October.

Pieter Blaauw (38), the loving father of three primary school children who died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, 7 October, will be buried on Friday, 13 October at NG Church Noord in Randfontein (better known as the Purple Church) at 11am.

Blaauw’s brother Jaco, said he was an amazing father to his three boys and that his family is suffering from the loss of a great friend.

“He was a joker,” Jaco said. “He always had the funniest things to say. He hadn’t been a biker for a very long time.”

Blaauw was the youngest child in his family, and was married for eight years.

“Anyone who wants to attend the funeral is welcome. We’re not having a biker funeral, but bikers are also welcome.”
