Missing man reunites with sister
Krugersdorp reunites Limpopo man with his sister.
Constable Huizen Pharamela of the Hekpoort Police Station connected the right dots and helped to reunite two siblings.
The 27-year-old Mulalo Monama from Chava Village, near Mahwelereng in Limpopo, was reported missing at the beginning of October. Mulalo was found by the men in blue while he was aimlessly roaming the streets of Hekpoort. The officers realised that he was mentally challenged, but he was able to tell them that he was from Mokopane in Limpopo. He also told them the names of his siblings.
Hekpoort Police contacted the Mahwelereng Police Station to trace Mulalo’s family.

Pharamela was committed to reuniting Mulalo with his family, but he was given the run-around. However, he never gave up his search, and although at times it seemed fruitless, he never lost hope that the family would be reunited. Luckily, Mulalo’s sister Georgina Monama works at a police station in Daveyton, which made it slightly easier for Huizen to find her contact numbers.
Georgina did not waste any time and took a taxi to Krugersdorp where she met up with Huizen and her brother. Both Mulalo and his Georgina were overjoyed when they embraced each other.
Acting Hekpoort Police station commander, Captain VJ Mlambo applauded the determination of the police members who made this reunion possible.
“Well done to the officers who had the initiative and determination to reunite Mulalo with his family. The organisation needs members of their calibre,” said Mlambo.
