"Every child deserves to have a happy Christmas season."

“Every child deserves to have a happy Christmas season and we at Maragon Avianto want to do what we can to give these children just that.”

This is what Monica de Beer, principal of the school said while handing over more than 10 boxes of toys, baby products and clothes to the News’ ‘Call of Doody’ Christmas Project challenge as part of their fourth term Community Service Initiative.

They asked their parents to collect various goods, new and reusable, over a five-week period. The collection is intended for the children and carers of the Pangoville informal settlement, where there are more than 100 less fortunate children who would benefit greatly from this initiative.

“We would like to thank all of our very generous parents and children for their gracious donations to this very worthy cause,” said Monica.
