Robert Broom collision leaves four injured

Debris from both vehicles were spread across the road

According to ER24, four people were left injured this afternoon (Sunday, 12 November).

It is alleged that two occupants were left critically injured after two light motor vehicles collided on Robert Broom.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 4.16pm to find both wrecked vehicles on the side of the road. Debris from both vehicles were spread across the road.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of one of the drivers, a man in his 30s, lying outside his vehicle.

Three other people were found lying outside the second light motor vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that both drivers had sustained critical injuries while the two remaining patients had sustained moderate injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and the critically injured were provided with advanced life support interventions.

Once treated, one of the critically injured men was airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter to a nearby private hospital for urgent care. The remaining three patients were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
