Roodepoort SPCA needs your help

"Our admissions have nearly doubled since servicing the Krugersdorp area as well."

“We have been servicing the animals of the Krugersdorp area as well for the past eight months, resulting in our admissions nearly doubling,” said Mandy Cattanach.

Mandy is the manager at the Roodepoort SPCA. She is appealing to the community to find it in their hearts to help them. “Unlike other shelters, we will never turn an animal away, our doors are always open for lost, unwanted and neglected furry souls. With the influx of all these lost and lonely souls, we are running very low on dog and cat food,” she said.

Mandy said that they will be grateful for any donation of the following items:

• Montego dog food

• Purina, Catmor, Whiskers or Pampers cat food

• Cat litter

• Toys and treats for both cats and dogs.

The Roodepoort SPCA is in Nadine Street, Maraisburg, and according to Mandy, they will gladly collect any donations that cannot be dropped off.

“We know that people do not always have the time to go out and buy food to drop off, and encourage donations in the form of an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) into our bank account. If you send us the proof of payment, we will gladly go out and purchase the food on your behalf,” said Mandy.

Should you wish to make a cash donation, the banking details are as follow:
