Win double tickets to Joyous Celebration 22 recording
Joyous fans in Krugersdorp will experience a Joyous Celebration concert in their backyard for the first time.
The MTN Joyous Celebration is pushing boundaries and giving their fans new experiences – and this time, they’re doing it in the Cradle of Humankind.
The recording of their twenty-second album is set to take place under open skies at the World Heritage Site on Friday and Saturday, 8 and 9 December.
Following their ground-breaking twenty-first album entitled Heal our Land, which was recorded in Texas, in collaboration with Bishop TD Jakes’ The Potter’s House Choir last year, MTN Joyous Celebration, founded by Mthunzi Namba, Lindelani Mkhize and Jabu Hlongwane, is charting new territory in the Gospel music recording space.
Co-founder, Jabu Hlongwane, said they have named the Joyous 22 recording All for You to celebrate and pay tribute to all the thousands of people on and off the Joyous stage who make up the rich and extended tapestry of the Joyous family.
“We really give honour and praise to God for all that He has done for us collectively,” said Jabu.
The venue provides many unique activities for the whole family. These include a lifestyle market, discounted tour of Maropeng and lots on offer prior to the start of the show. They encourage people to come early and take advantage of everything that the venue offers and then top it off with the Joyous 22 recording.
Lindelani Mkhize, one of the three founders of Joyous Celebration, said their fans have walked with them through the past 21 years and they mean a lot to them.
“We are honoured and truly blessed to be where we are. God has done tremendous things for us and Joyous 22 – All for You is a celebration of the accomplishments we have achieved thus far and the support we have enjoyed from our fans in the past 21 years,” said Lindelani.
Consumer Business Executive at MTN South Africa, Mapule Bodibe, said the MTN Joyous Celebration continues to blaze a trail in South African music.
“The upcoming Joyous 22 recording at the iconic Maropeng, the official visitor’s centre of the Cradle of Humankind, is sure to leave an indelible mark on the local music landscape. The theme perfectly encompasses what this award-winning ensemble is about and we, together with our customers, are excited to be part of this new chapter of MTN Joyous Celebration,” added Mapula.
Patrons are advised to bring their camping chairs, blankets and cushions (but no picnic baskets, food or umbrellas) for this historic experience.
Gates will open at 11am and the recording starts at 6pm. Fans can purchase tickets to the live recording at Computicket. Prices range from R220 for adults with a discount for children under 12 years of age.
